The Old Testament meets the comedic style of Saturday Night Live in this fun filled contemporary musical. The Book of Genesis never sounded like this, with musical styles ranging from Operetta to Jazz, Rock to Rap and Broadway to Swing. Young and old alike canunderstand and enjoy this show. Adam and Eve sunbathing in the Garden of Eden, Cain and Able nagging their mother and each other to death (literally), Abraham, his wife and his mistress all join in the fun. Jacob and Esau, Joseph and his dreams; thismusical has been compared to the classic hit musical Godspell.

History: Originally produced in 1989 by Joseph Papp at the Riverdale Y and the Public Theater, this piece then moved to the Astor Place Theater and has since been seen at the Gershwin Theater in Brooklyn, the Striar Theater in Mass. and International Festivals in The Netherlands, Poland and Germany and The National Yiddish Theatre of Israel – Yiddishpiel. Avi Hoffman is a world-famous actor, who specializes in Jewish culture and Yiddish theater. His long-running “Too Jewish” trilogy has been seen by millions on PBS and in venues around the world. He has produced and presented shows throughout North America, Europe and Israel. International Festivals include Romania, Poland, New York, Toronto, Montreal, Tel-Aviv and other European cities and countries. His connections in the theater, entertainment and film communities are extensive. He has received a Congressional Award and was named a “Sage” by The New York Times. Both he and his mother were recently inducted into the Bronx Hall of Fame.
