Please join us for a wonderful day of classes and and a stimulating Lunch and Learn with Eric Weintraub, author of the novel, South of Sefarad: The 1492 Jewish Expulsion from Spain. This debut novel tells the tale of a Spanish Jewish Family who goes into exile after the expulsion from Spain 1492, leaving behind their converso daughter to the perils of the Inquisition.

Eric Weintraub - South of Sefarad: The 1492 Jewish Expulsion from Spain
This debut novel tells the tale of a Spanish Jewish Family who goes into exile after the expulsion from Spain 1492, leaving behind their converso daughter to the perils of the Inquisition.
Vidal, a physician and his family joins a caravan of 200 Jews journeying to start their lives anew across the sea in Fez. On the caravan, Vidal struggles to balance his physician duties of caring for the sick while struggling to mend strained relationships with his family.
Eric Z. Weintraub is the author of the novel South of Sepharad and the novella Dreams of an American Exile. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Mount St. Mary’s University. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, he profiles complex medical cases at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
